Vomiting Vultures Invade Florida Vacation Home

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A New York couple’s luxurious vacation house in Florida has been taken over by dozens of black vultures that are vomiting and defecating everywhere.

The Palm Beach Post reports the Casimano family can’t even visit the $702,000 home they purchased earlier this year in the Ibis Golf and Country Club.

Siobhan Casimano described the smell as “like a thousand rotting corpses.” The vultures have destroyed screen enclosures, and have overtaken the pool and barbeque. The few times the family has visited, they’ve had to park their car in the garage or the birds peck at them with their beaks.

A neighbor, Cheryl Katz, tells the Post she’s got it even worse because she lives next door to a person who is feeding the vultures and other wildlife. In May, she said vultures tore through her pool enclosure and couldn’t figure out how to get out.

“Imagine 20 vultures trapped, biting each other — and they can bite through bones,” she said. “They would bang against my windows running away from a bird that was attacking them. Blood was everywhere. It was a vile, vicious, traumatic event. And it was Memorial Day, so no company I called would come out to help me.”

Finally, three police officers arrived. They removed the screens and shooed away the vultures.

Since she has chronic lymphocytic leukemia, which leaves her vulnerable to infections, she’s had to be extra careful going outside, even having someone power wash the patio twice.

The homeowners blame Katz’ neighbor, who they claim is excessively feeding wildlife.

Katz said she has seen the neighbor give bags of dog foot and even a roasted chicken to the vultures.

Neighborhood association president Gordon Holness said they’ve warned the woman but they’re limited in what they can do because the vultures, as migratory birds, are protected by federal law.

Holness said vultures were not a problem in the neighborhood before this spring. He said they’ve contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to issue a warning, but so far they’ve been ignored by the neighbor.

Katz said she spoke to someone at the U.S. Wildlife Service and learned it is hard to get a permit to kill a black vulture.

People have suggested scaring them with fireworks or balloons, but that doesn’t work for long.

Katz even tried putting out four fake owls that have moving heads and blinking lights. “The vultures chewed the owls apart,” she said. “They ripped the heads off.”

ISS interference: Why NASA admitted cutting live feed after anomaly appearance

Today, Russia launched the Soyuz MH-14 into low-earth orbit, destined for the International Space Station (ISS) for 10 days time. The rocket is carrying the Skybot F-850 robot, nicknamed Fedor – short for Final Experimental Demonstration Object Research – which will spend one week on the satellite. Fedor will ”perform several tasks under the control of astronaut Alexander Skvortsov and will be able to communicate with the crew,” according to the Russian space agency Roscosmos.

Eagle-eyed viewers will be watching NASA’s ISS feed on September 1, when the rocket is due to dock with the space station.

However, they are unlikely to get a sight quite as bizarre as what happened in July 2016.

Video footage appeared to show a small white anomaly making its way through space – heading to the Blue Planet.

Then the feed cuts.

The station regularly passes out of range of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellites

Daniel Huot

The clip was uploaded to YouTube channel Streetcap1, where it quickly went viral, racking up four million views.

Many conspiracy theorists chipped in on the debate in the comment, claiming it could be a UFO and proof of alien life.

However, NASA put the rumours to bed, making their own admission over the video.

Spokesman Daniel Huot told CNET: “The video is from our High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) experiment aboard the ISS, which is mounted externally on the ISS.

“This experiment includes several commercial HD video cameras aimed at the Earth, which are enclosed in a pressurised and temperature-controlled housing.

“The experiment is on automatic controls to cycle through the various cameras.

“The station regularly passes out of range of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS) used to send and receive video, voice and telemetry from the station.

“For video, whenever we lose signal (video comes down on our higher bandwidth, called KU) the cameras will show a blue screen (indicating no signal) or a preset video slate.”

Yesterday, it was revealed how a bizarre anomaly was also spotted “floating by” the space station last year.

YouTuber Tyler Glockner uploaded the strange video to his channel, showing a white object appearing to move through space.

The conspiracy theorist speculated in 2018: “Some of you may be asking ‘what is this yellow tinge?’

“Well actually, this is just black space, because as you guys saw towards the end of the video, as the camera begins to pan back, this yellow tinge begins to fade away.

“You can also see some of the arms and equipment of the ISS come into focus on the right side of the screen.

“So what you find on many of these ISS cameras is when the lenses are zoomed at a certain point due to the Sun and the low-resolution cameras, sometimes they’ll be showing total darkness and it will have this yellowish tinge.

“But whatever this object is, it has taken the form of a white square floating by, and it’s in space.”

Air Mattresses Go Rogue After Wind Turns Outdoor Movie Night To Chaos

Well, it’s way more entertaining than watching tumbleweeds.

Things got a little topsy-turvy on Saturday in Denver when a bunch of air mattresses laid out for an outdoor movie night went sailing in a strong wind.

Robb Manes told CBS Denver that he and his fiancée were at a pool near the park where the movie night was being set up and that he didn’t think much of the air mattresses … until he saw clouds begin to roll in.

“The wind picked up, they lowered the umbrellas at the pool and that’s when the first air mattress kind of flew over the fence.”

Shortly after the inflatable mattresses broke free, Manes took out his phone and recorded the strange scene. He posted his video, titled “The Great Mattress Migration of 2019,” on YouTube later that night and it quickly went viral.

“So majestic,” he wrote of the video on his YouTube channel.

When the clip made its way onto Twitter, people had plenty of jokes.

And, of course, the video also got the meme treatment:

ISS live feed shock: The bizarre anomaly spotted ‘floating by’ during NASA coverage

NASA astronauts Drew Morgan and Nick Hague are gearing up for the fifth spacewalk of the year on Wednesday. The pair are tasked with installing a new docking adapter on the ISS Harmony module. However, ahead of their six-and-a-half-hour mission, bizarre footage has emerged.

YouTuber Tyler Glockner uploaded the strange video to his channel, showing a white object appearing to move through space.

The conspiracy theorist speculated in 2018: “Notice in camera two down at the lower-left corner, you will notice something very strange begin floating by that certainly does not look like it belongs.

“We’re talking about this strange and mysterious white square that can be seen moving slowly from tight to left through space.

“We have multiple cameras here, other data as to where the ISS is.”

Mr Glockner, who boasts more than two million subscribers on the video-sharing, explained why the video is so pixelated.

He added: “Now some of you may be asking ‘what is this yellow tinge?’

“Well actually, this is just black space, because as you guys saw towards the end of the video, as the camera begins to pan back, this yellow tinge begins to fade away.

“You can also see some of the arms and equipment of the ISS come into focus on the right side of the screen.

NASA’s spacewalk will kick off at 1.20pm BST (8.20am EST) and coverage will start at 11.30am BST (6.30am EST).

Before the spacewalk can be safely carried out, the ISS has had to readjust its orbit.

The space station orbits the Earth from a height of approximately 250 miles (402km) in space.

ISS shock: Why Soyuz astronaut screamed as two anomalies appeared during live stream

Tomorrow, the Soyuz MH-14 will travel to the low-earth orbiting satellite with a Russian robot on board. Skybot F-850 will spend just over one week on the ISS, where it will “perform several tasks under the control of astronaut Alexander Skvortsov and will be able to communicate with the crew,” according to the Russian space agency Roscosmos. Ahead of the mission, bizarre footage has resurfaced of a previous Soyuz operation which caused quite a stir at the time.

The video shows the moment Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti docked with the space station alongside her Russian colleague Anton Shkaplerov.

She screams in what appears to shock during the final stage of the landing.

Almost immediately, Mr Shkaplerov can be heard saying “tiho, tiho, tiho,” which in Russian means “calm, calm, calm”.

The footage quickly went viral on social media, where some claimed two anomalies could be seen passing by during the video just before her outburst.

Former UFO investigator for the Ministry of Defence, Nick Pope, stated: “This is unprecedented.

“Here she is, screaming in terror, what did Cristoforetti see?

“You can see on the video two small, but clearly defined objects passing across the camera.

“It’s not an optical illusion, it doesn’t appear to be an effect of the camera.

“Then my eyes caught something in the peripheral view.

“And as I slowly turned my gaze and when I realised what I was seeing, I was overcome by pure amazement and joy, the Space Station was there, but not just any view.

“The huge solar panels were flooded in a blaze of orange light, vivid, warm almost alien.”

Ms Cristoforetti continued: “I couldn’t help exclaiming something aloud, which you can probably hear in the recordings of our docking since at that point we were ‘hot mic’ with Mission Control.

MH370 shock: Data ‘revealing pilot’s suspicious behaviour wiped from flight simulator’

Malaysia Airlines flight 370 went missing on March 8, 2014, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board. The Boeing 777 is still missing to this day and exactly what happened to it is still a mystery. However, the official investigation concluded that the most likely final destination was at the bottom of the southern Indian Ocean.

This was worked out from data – called pingrings – sent from the plane to a satellite owned by British satellite telecommunications company Inmarsat.

The data seemed to indicate a flight path that saw the plane turn 180 degrees from its planned route, fly up the Malacca Strait and then southwards over the Indian Ocean.

In the weeks after the plane went missing, attention was naturally focused on the crew, including Mr Shah, MH370’s pilot – as well as his co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid.

According to Channel 5’s ‘Flight MH370’, when investigating Mr Shah’s home flight simulator they discovered some deleted data that “raised suspicions”.

READ MORE: MH370 shock theory: Plane was controlled by ‘machines not people!’

David Gleave, an aviation expert from Loughborough University, told Channel 5: “The hard disc contained some wiped data that was rebuilt and showed a number of simulations of flights going off to some rather remote locations in the southern Indian Ocean.”

The simulations show a number of waypoints – computer-checked coordinates for each stage of a flight – for each “practice run” on the simulator.

Mr Gleave added: “The forensic report detailed seven points that the captain has made up himself and programmed into the flight simulator.

“Four of these are in the Andaman Sea, which represents the body of water just to the left of Malaysia that we know the aeroplane flew over.

However, police retrieved almost 3,000 coordinates from different files and it could be just a coincidence that some of these, when connected together, had similarities to the believed flight path of MH370.

Mr Shah was an aviation fanatic and used his flight simulator a lot, flew many different paths and so it is not inconceivable that all this does not mean anything.

Mr Gleave was relatively dismissive of those jumping on this as evidence or even proof of the captain’s guilt, labelling it as a conspiracy theory.

He said: “The conspiracy theories are out there to say ‘This is the captain practicing beforehand for this type of flight.’

“All sorts of different reasons could be speculated upon, but we really do need to raise the aeroplane to start finding out whether it was indeed the captain who actually carried out these actions.”

Mr Gleave here is referring to the black boxes, which contain flight recorders.

These are the key to finding out exactly what happened to MH370 but five years after its disappearance it is becoming increasingly unlikely that they will ever be found.

That said, those who blame Mr Shah for the tragedy have pointed to the reported fact that he was suffering with mental health problems and issues in his marriage.

Police Catch Parked Motorist Playing Pokemon Go On 8 Different Phones

Texting while driving is an obvious no-no. Playing Pokemon Go when pulled off just by the side of a road isn’t a great idea either ― especially when one’s attention is occupied by eight different phones at once.

Sgt. Kyle Smith of the Washington State Patrol spotted the unidentified Pokemon Go player doing just that in a car parked on the shoulder of a road near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to The Smoking Gun.

No citation was issued since Smith did not see the man driving while occupied with the game. But because parking on the road shoulder is only acceptable in emergencies, the officer asked the male driver to put the phones in the back seat and get on with his trip, according to Seattle station KIRO.

Rick Johnson, a public information officer for the state patrol, decided to turn a photo Smith took of the incident into a teachable moment.

Some Twitter users saw the need for a tougher reaction to the potentially reckless behavior.

MH370 shock: Anonymous mechanic admits ‘lapse in memory’ over oxygen bottle valve

Malaysia Airlines flight 370 left Kuala Lumpur Airport on March 8, 2014, destined for Beijing, China with 239 people on board. However, the jet last communicated with air traffic control at 1.19am, before mysteriously vanishing over the South China Sea. Radar and satellite data showed how the aircraft suddenly changed course and flew back across Malaysia before turning south of Penang and then towards the southern Indian Ocean.

Leading air crash investigator Christine Negroni claimed during her book “The Crash Detectives”  that the plane suffered a sudden depressurisation, which would have required the oxygen masks to fall.

However, in a bombshell twist, a mechanic told Ms Negroni that “one or two times a year” the oxygen bottles that supply these masks can be forgotton about.

She wrote last year: “In the hours before MH370 departed for Beijing, mechanics had serviced the two oxygen containers for the cockpit, topping them up and restoring the pressure to 1,800 pounds per square inch.

“After reinstalling the bottles, mechanics must reopen the valve fully, or the proper supply of air will not flow to the mask.

“According to a mechanic, who agreed to discuss the issue if I did not identify him: ‘One or two times a year out of the hundreds of oxygen bottles changed, a mechanic may fail to do this.

“‘It’s a lapse in memory, and it’s embarrassing’.”

Ms Negroni went on to explain how this mistake would also be missed by a pilot during his pre-flight checks.

She added: “On many airliners, this important final action after servicing the oxygen is not left to a mechanic’s memory.

“A message appears on a flight deck monitor notifying the pilot if the oxygen pressure drops between the tank and the mask.

“Whatever happened, it could not have caused damage serious enough to affect the airworthiness of the plane, since it flew on until running out of fuel many hours later.

Likely, the men in the cockpit were overcome by the altitude sickness known as hypoxia, which robbed them of the ability to think clearly and land the plane safely.

“Many of the links in the bizarre chain of events that night can be explained by hypoxia, because past cases have shown how rapidly those who fall victim to it turn imbecilic.”

However, this idea is just one theory among hundreds of others proposed over the last five years.

Bible prophecy fulfilled? Sea of Galilee earthquakes ‘signal Jesus Christ’s Second Coming’

Northeastern Israel has been the centre of heightened seismic activity recently – and it all began when, in September 2013, locals felt their windows rattle as an earthquake rumbled beneath the Sea of Galilee. The freshwater lake is said to have been the location where Jesus walked on water – as told in the New TestamentIt has developed into a new centre for tremors – most notably in July 2018 when a dozen small earthquakes shook the same spot beneath the lake on a fault — the slip surface along which an earthquake ruptures.

What’s more, the seismic changes could be interpreted as a sign of biblical proportions.

In the Gospels of the New Testament, there are three mentions of earthquakes near such a lake in relation to the End Times.

Matthew 24:7 states: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”

Mark 13:8 adds: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.”

Luke 21:11 reads: “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”

The prophecy has been cited before but biblical author Gaines Johnson conceded that the increase in seismic activity could suggest something more significant by proposing that only natural events – like earthquakes – could signal the Second Coming.

He wrote: “These are verses we all have heard preached over and over again, and with every TV news report of another earthquake somewhere in the world, a preacher somewhere is inspired to preach it as a sure sign that the end is near.

“The problem is, earthquakes happen all across the Earth every day and the yearly averages of quake activity have remained fairly constant for many decades.

JUST IN: Area 51: UFO wreckage ‘could be hidden all over the world’

He continued: “But the focal point of End Times Biblical seismicity is driven by a Transform Fault that’s just east of Jerusalem.

“The prophesied major future activity will occur along the Dead Sea Transform fault, a continuation of the Red Sea and East African Rift system.

“This fault runs directly under the Dead Sea, up through the Jordan River valley, through the Sea of Galilee, and northward through Lebanon.”

Despite the claims, a recent study suggests that human activity could be responsible for the unusual earthquake swarms.

Ghostly ‘Snow Kangaroos’ Light Up Twitter After Unusual Storm In Australia

An unusual snowfall in New South Wales, Australia, over the weekend led to surreal images of kangaroos hopping through a white landscape.

“Not something you see every day in Australia,” tweeted one person, Stephen Grenfell, who captured some of the viral footage. “Kangaroos in the snow.”

Grenfell said on Twitter that the area in his clip is about three hours west of Sydney. And while it does snow a couple of times a year there, the weekend’s snowfall was the most he had ever seen.

Others also shared photos and footage of kangaroos bouncing through the snow on Twitter:
